How To Use Your Viral Salesman

Filed under: Influence, internet marketing — Tags: ebook, viral, viral salesman — admin @ 7:09 pm

viral salesmanWriting your own E-Book is like having a Viral Salesman on the payroll.

You are marketing your words when you take your business online. You want to influence your target market with your message. One of the best ways to do this is with your own E-Book.  The E-Book can be a   re purposed combination of your old posts, articles and newsletters, reworked and polished.  Links to your website or landing page should be placed in the appropriate pages to draw more traffic to you as the digital book becomes viral when shared with others.

Just as the printed and bound books of our Public Libraries, the E-Book may be saved by each individual and reviewed as needed.

Your E-book needs to be interesting and informative.  Include images and links as well as text. In a prominent section encourage readers to give your E-book away. Let them know that they can post it on their site as a free download, that they can use it as a bonus, and that they can bundle it with other products. This is the way to create viral marketing for your products or services. Remember your links back to your site are contained in the E-book.

Double check spelling and grammar and be sure that you have tested every link to verify that it goes where it is supposed to go. Poor editing with errors will reflect badly on you and could even be damaging.

It is relatively easy to build an E-book from past articles and posts. Reorder the content, add new information and present a good looking package. While you are working on your second E-book, your first viral salesman will be busy spreading the word!

Don’t forget to submit your E-book to some of the E-book directories.

Common Ground

We all want to be heard. We all have something to say. Most of us are also searching for our source of income. This gives us a common ground for becoming associates or friends.

The problems only exist when the street is one-way. If we are all going to inhabit this online world, we must learn to share, help, give, listen and learn. We can pick and choose those with whom we are actively involved with a simple click of the mouse. When each of us becomes more discerning in those with whom we choose to climb the ladder of success , I suspect there will be massive changes in the general environment of the virtual world and it’s leaders.

The use of twitter “repurposed” may very well be the first sign of changes to come. Non-human responses to a follow, un-reciprocated retweets, massive following without so much as a visit to profiles or websites are all common behaviors that a slowly developing group of people are beginning to recognize as unbecoming. Those of us still on the front end of the learning curve are willing students, but gradually even we can see the light.

Facebook fan pages and Friendfeed may also feel changes coming soon. Having a presence online means as much to the newcomer as it does to the most aggressive marketers.  A student needs feedback where they live, not only where it counts for the teachers agenda.

I think the tone online is changing rapidly . People in high places are listening.  A kindness and courtesy are invading the environment. I for one, am very pleased to see this. After all, it only takes a moment to leave a comment but it does wonders for the esteem.

My First Recommended Authentic Website

Filed under: authority, transparency — Tags: authentic, Proud Spirit, transparency — admin @ 11:40 pm

I found the fabulous website of Melanie & Jim Bowles after purchasing a book Melanie had written about their Horse Sactuary Ranch. The book brought me to tears, and the website shows you clearly the good works they do.

“The Purpose of Life is to Live a Life of Purpose” is the quote Melanie  loved  so much that she stenciled it above a window that looks out over the pastures at Proud Spirit Horse Sanctuary. It is the steadfast philosophy by which she has lived her entire adult life and unwanted, elderly and abused horses became her purpose. One of their visions was to provide as natural an environment for the horses as possible, and they have done that very well.

One of the very few true sanctuaries in the United States, the Bowles do not adopt out any of the horses who find their way to Proud Spirit, “having given enough,” as Melanie would say.

While they share their visions and dreams through this website, they remain transparent and authentic.  I enjoyed my visit as well as I enjoyed her First Book, which you can purchase through their website click here . This is not an affiliate link of mine. It will take you to their own site.

Watch the short video below to see these fabulous horses in all their healed glory.

Influence

Filed under: Influence — Tags: affiliate — admin @ 7:24 pm

We are all influenced by someone or something on a daily basis.  Since childhood we have been bombarded with television commercials that influence our trust in brands.  Our family dynamics have influenced our choices most of our lives.  It is of no small consequence  when we are new to the internet marketing business, that we fall into those old habits of being influenced.

To avoid being lead down an unsuitable road (a different path for each individual) one must stay focused. This has been my biggest downfall thus far. I chose a mentor and followed.  I was very pleased with my mentor and trust was built over a period of a few weeks.  Unfortunately there came a time for my mentor to “recommend” something/someone, and I got lost in the maze of  JV launches.  Please do not assume that I am against launches nor JV/Affiliate programs. I have found a few I am perfectly willing to stand behind. However, I also have spent a great deal of money on products/services I was not capable of using – nor even understood, based on “trusted” recommendations. Alas, this is my fault and I hold myself accountable.  The lesson learned is to choose wisely those you allow to influence you and your online business.

I am now more focused and in tune with my own belief system.  This allows me to more clearly choose only the positive and uplifting associations online that are better suited to my purpose for being online.  My first rule, which is serving me well so far, is do not accept anything online that I would not invite into my own home offline.
